How we define “the immediate area”

We list places inside the airport boundary but outside the terminal buildings (such as the hotels connected to Terminals 4 and 5, Heathrow’s own car parks and the stations), plus places in the neighbouring villages and roads that border the airport: the A4 Bath Road, Hatton Cross, Harlington, Sipson, Harmondsworth, Longford, Colnbrook, Poyle, Stanwell and Stanwell Moor, and Cranford.

We stop at the edge of those places. Hayes, West Drayton, Hounslow, Feltham, Bedfont, Staines and Slough town centres are not included, even though some airport hotels use their postal towns in their addresses — a hotel on the Bath Road with a “Hayes” or “West Drayton” postcode is listed under Bath Road.

Places in this section come from the businesses’ own websites and, for finding them in the first place, OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors). We only list places we could confirm are open from a current source, and we date-stamp every listing.
