About us

London Heathrow Friendly Spots is a guide to the places travellers use at Heathrow and just outside it — and a place to say how friendly the staff were.

lhfs.uk is an independent guide. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Heathrow Airport Limited or any business listed. We don’t use Heathrow’s or any listed business’s logos or branding.

Why friendliness?

lhfs.uk was started by a regular Heathrow traveller who noticed how much a friendly welcome matters at the start or end of a journey — at a coffee counter at 5am, at a hotel desk after a long-haul flight, or at a pharmacy when something has been forgotten. Most review sites rate the food or the price. We ask about the people.

What’s listed

Right now the guide lists 390 places: the shops, cafés, restaurants, bars, pharmacies, bureaux de change, lounges and services inside Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5, and — around the airport — hotels, pubs and restaurants, petrol stations, supermarkets, car parks, car hire, viewing spots and stations. Transport and viewing spots are listed as information only.

Each outlet has its own page. Where Heathrow lists two outlets with exactly the same description in the same terminal, we list them together.

How we check places

Reviews and scores

There are 0 approved reviews so far. Every place started with none: we have never written, bought or imported a review. Scores are plain averages of approved reviews and appear once a place has 3. Read the full review policy.

How the site is paid for

Some booking links are affiliate links, marked “Ad”: if you book through one we earn a commission. That never affects reviews, scores or rankings. See our affiliate disclosure.
